Frequently Asked Questions

Is laser skin tightening safe?

Yes. Laser is non-invasive and non-ionising so therefore cannot cause malignant changes to the skin. Your safety is our number one priority.

It is important that you do not have a sun tan whilst attending for treatment – sun exposure is the single biggest limiting factor for treatment. For more information regarding this please contact us.

Does laser skin tightening hurt?

Not at all!

Our laser gently heats the skin, creating a warm, occasionally tingly sensation that dissipates almost immediately!

Can the laser treat all skin types?

Yes! Our skin tightening treatment is suitable for all skin types.

How do I know that I’m suitable?

Everyone is suitable! Laser skin tightening works best for those who have mild skin laxity, an uneven skin tone and/or shallow fine lines.

How does laser skin tightening work?

The laser is passed over the skin at a distance of approximately 1cm above the skin. This heats the skin without damaging it, stimulating the ‘wound healing response’ of the skin, causing collagen growth, and improving the appearance of the skin.

Can it be used in areas other than the face and neck?

Laser Skin Tightening can be used in any area where there is a loss of collagen.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend a course of 4-6 treatments spaced at 1 month apart. Results last for approximately 6 months before a top-up appointment is required.

Who can you treat?

Skin tightening treatment is suitable for everyone, but works best for clients who have mild – moderate skin laxity. If uneven skin tone is also of concern we can combine this with our pigmented lesion treatment as well!

Why is this procedure called “fast facial rejuvenation”?

This is the optimal solution for businesslike and busy people who do not have time for complex aesthetic procedures. There is no post-procedure period – you can continue your work, meetings or long-planned vacations immediately. The skin of the face remains slightly reddish for just a few hours after the procedure, so even though there will be visible positive changes to your skin, nobody will notice that you have just visited the beauty clinic.

What is the difference between using an ablative laser rejuvenation and using a non-ablative laser?

Do you offer a consultation?

Yes! Our consultations are free of charge and no obligation, and last approximately 15 minutes. Consultation appointments are usually immediately followed by the first treatment should our clients wish.

Treatment information

Laser skin rejuvenation in Bournemouth: treatment overview

Laser skin rejuvenation is a non-surgical treatment designed to support smoother-looking texture, more even tone and firmer-looking skin. Your plan is tailored to the treatment area, skin characteristics and the concerns discussed during consultation.

Skin responses develop gradually and more than one appointment may be advised. Temporary redness, warmth or sensitivity can occur, while results and downtime vary. A clinician-led assessment helps determine whether laser treatment, another clinic treatment or no treatment is the safest option.

Good to know

Daily sun protection and following personalised aftercare are important. Laser rejuvenation does not reproduce the effects of surgery and no particular result can be guaranteed.
