– Avoid prescription topical Vitamin A or Hydroquinone
– Avoid exfoliating products
– Avoid fake tan, solarium, or tanning drugs such as Melanotan
– Avoid hair removal including electrolysis, waxing, and depilatory use
– Avoid direct sun exposure and ensure daily use of SPF 50
– Avoid Laser, IPL treatments, and skin treatments including Cosmetic Grade Peels and Skin Needling
You may experience some bruising, redness, and swelling in the treated areas, this is completely normal and usually subsides within 3-5 days by following the recommended aftercare directions.

Yes. Laser is non-invasive and non-ionising so therefore cannot cause malignant changes to the skin. Your safety is our number one priority.
It is important that you do not have a sun tan whilst attending for treatment – sun exposure is the single biggest limiting factor for treatment. For more information regarding this please contact us.
The simple answer is no, laser rosacea treatment shouldn’t hurt. The main sensation is of a warming of the skin, immediately followed by a slight tightness. The vast majority of our clients do not experience pain during treatment.
The laser is passed over the skin approximately 1cm from the surface, gently warming it, until it reaches 41-42C. The heat from the laser shrinks the blood vessels causing the rosacea until they fade.
We generally book out half an hour – the treatment itself generally takes 15-20 minutes, and the additional time allows us to discuss progress and ensure your comfort. If necessary, we will allocate more time for your treatments; Alexandra will discuss timings with you during your consultation.
Yes! Our consultations are free of charge and no obligation, and last approximately 15 minutes. Consultation appointments are usually immediately followed by the first treatment should our clients wish.
