Treatment information
Visible facial vessels and selected vascular concerns may respond to targeted laser energy. At Progen Aesthetics, the area is assessed before treatment so the clinician can decide whether the concern is appropriate for cosmetic laser treatment.
The laser targets colour within visible vessels, which may fade gradually after treatment. Several sessions can be needed, and temporary redness, swelling or darkening may occur. Outcomes depend on the type, depth and location of the vessel as well as individual skin response.
A new, changing, bleeding, painful or uncertain lesion should be assessed medically before cosmetic laser treatment. Treatment cannot prevent new vessels from developing.
Clinical suitability, likely benefits, limitations and alternatives are discussed before you decide whether to proceed.
